Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about hiring registered nurses through our direct-hire recruitment process? Below are answers to the most common questions employers ask about our RN recruiting services, candidate screening, timelines, fees, and 90-day placement guarantee.

What type of recruitment do you specialize in?

We specialize exclusively in direct-hire registered nurse recruitment. That means we help healthcare employers hire permanent RNs, not temporary, travel, per-diem, or contract staff.

Do you only recruit registered nurses?

Yes. Our focus is RN recruitment only. This allows us to stay highly focused on the nursing market and better understand the needs of healthcare employers hiring registered nurses.

What does “direct hire” mean?

Direct hire means the nurse is hired directly by your organization as a permanent employee. We recruit, screen, and present qualified RN candidates, but the nurse joins your team directly rather than working through us as a temporary or agency employee.

What types of healthcare organizations do you work with?

We work with healthcare organizations that need permanent RN talent, including hospitals, health systems, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, clinics, home health organizations, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare employers.

What RN specialties do you recruit for?

We recruit for a range of RN roles and specialties, including Med-Surg, ICU, ER/ED, OR, PACU, telemetry, labor and delivery, NICU, long-term care, skilled nursing, home health, and other registered nurse positions.

How does your recruitment process work?

Our process begins with a consultation to understand your hiring needs, role requirements, compensation range, facility type, schedule, and ideal candidate profile. From there, we source, screen, and present qualified RN candidates for your review. You handle interviews and hiring decisions, while we support the process through offer, acceptance, and start date.

What information do you need to begin a search?

To begin a search, we typically need the job title, specialty, facility location, shift, schedule, compensation range, benefits overview, required experience, license requirements, start date goals, and any must-have qualifications.

How quickly can you present RN candidates?

Timeline depends on the role, location, compensation, specialty, and market demand. Once we understand the position, we begin sourcing and screening qualified candidates as quickly as possible and keep you updated throughout the search.

Do you help with hard-to-fill RN roles?

Yes. Many of our searches involve hard-to-fill RN positions, including specialty roles, rural markets, high-demand shifts, and facilities experiencing ongoing nursing shortages.

Can you help us fill multiple RN openings?

Yes. We can support both individual RN searches and multiple direct-hire RN openings, depending on your hiring needs.

Do you work on urgent hiring needs?

Yes. If your hiring need is urgent, we will prioritize the search and focus on identifying qualified RN candidates as efficiently as possible. Urgent roles are most successful when compensation, requirements, and interview availability are clearly defined from the start.

How do you screen RN candidates?

We screen RN candidates based on experience, specialty background, licensure, location preferences, shift preferences, compensation expectations, career goals, and overall fit for the role. We aim to present candidates who are both qualified and genuinely interested in the opportunity.

Do you verify RN licenses?

We review licensure information as part of the screening process. Final license verification, background checks, health screenings, and onboarding requirements are typically completed by the employer according to their internal hiring process.

Do you check references?

Reference checks can be included depending on the search and employer requirements. If reference checks are important to your hiring process, we can discuss that before the search begins.

Will candidates already know about our role before being submitted?

Yes. We do not simply send resumes without context. Candidates are screened for interest in the role, location, schedule, and general opportunity before being presented to you.

Do you send every candidate you find?

No. Our goal is to save your team time by presenting qualified RN candidates who match your role requirements and hiring goals. We focus on fit, not resume volume.

How are your recruiting fees structured?

Our recruiting fee structure is outlined before a search begins. Fees are typically based on a successful direct-hire placement and are detailed in the recruitment agreement.

When is the recruiting fee due?

Payment terms are outlined in the recruitment agreement. In most cases, the fee is connected to a successful hire and start date, but the exact terms will be confirmed before we begin the search.

Do you charge candidates?

No. We do not charge RN candidates for placement. Our services are paid by the healthcare employer.

Do we have to sign an agreement before seeing candidates?

Yes. A recruitment agreement must be in place before we begin presenting candidates. This protects both parties and clearly outlines the search terms, fee structure, guarantee, and expectations.

Do you require exclusivity?

Exclusivity depends on the role and search arrangement. Some employers prefer an exclusive search for priority hiring needs, while others use us as an additional recruiting partner. We can discuss the best structure for your hiring goals.

Do you offer a placement guarantee?

Yes. Every direct-hire RN placement is backed by our 90-day replacement guarantee.

How does the 90-day guarantee work?

If a placed RN does not work out within the first 90 days, we will launch a replacement search at no additional recruiting fee, subject to the terms of the recruitment agreement.

Does the guarantee mean a refund?

Our guarantee is designed as a replacement guarantee. If a placement does not work out within the guarantee period, we help find a qualified replacement according to the terms of the agreement.

When does the 90-day guarantee begin?

The guarantee period typically begins on the RN’s official start date with your organization.

Who makes the final hiring decision?

You do. We identify, screen, and present qualified RN candidates, but your organization makes the final decision on interviews, offers, hiring, and onboarding.

Who handles the employment offer?

The employer typically extends the official employment offer directly to the candidate. We can help support communication, timing, and candidate follow-up throughout the offer process.

Who handles onboarding and compliance?

The employer is responsible for final onboarding, credentialing, background checks, health requirements, drug screening, employment documentation, and any internal compliance requirements.

Can you help improve offer acceptance?

Yes. We help by discussing candidate expectations early, including compensation, shift preferences, location, timing, and career goals. Clear communication and competitive offers can improve acceptance rates.

Why should we use your firm instead of a general staffing agency?

We focus exclusively on direct-hire RN recruitment. Unlike temporary staffing or broad recruiting firms, our process is designed to help healthcare employers hire permanent registered nurses who can become long-term members of the team.

What makes your recruitment process different?

Our process is focused, direct, and specialized. We concentrate only on RN hiring, screen candidates before presenting them, and support both the employer and candidate throughout the hiring process.

Do you replace our internal recruiting team?

No. We work as an extension of your internal hiring team. Our role is to bring additional RN recruiting support, sourcing capacity, and candidate access for roles that need focused attention.

Can you work with our HR or talent acquisition team?

Yes. We commonly work with HR leaders, talent acquisition teams, nursing leadership, administrators, and hiring managers.

How do we get started?

The first step is to schedule a consultation or submit your hiring need. We will review the role, answer questions, discuss the agreement, and determine whether we are a good fit to support your RN hiring goals.
